Dennis Morrison, D.O.

Senior Principal Investigator

Dr. Dennis Morrison has been the Senior Principal Investigator since the opening of QPS Bio-Kinetic in 1994. He earned degrees in zoology and English, as well as master degrees in biochemistry and microbiology from the University of Kansas and a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Morrison has his own practice and over thirty years of experience in obstetrics, women’s healthcare, pediatric, geriatric and family medicine. He continues to be very active in the Springfield medical and civic communities.

 

Johan Wemer, M.D., R.Ph., DCPSA, Ph.D.

Dr. Johan Wemer joined QPS Netherlands B.V. (formerly Xendo Drug Development) in 2005. Dr. Wemer is responsible for design and safety aspects of the clinical pharmacology studies conducted by QPS Netherlands B.V. (formerly Xendo Drug Development). He has about thirty years experience in drug research, holding research and management positions within hospitals, government, and pharmaceutical companies. Before joining QPS, Dr. Wemer worked as a pharmacist at the Hospital Pharmacy of the Free University of Amsterdam, as Associated Professor in Pharmacotherapy of the University of Utrecht, as Head Pharmacology of the National Institute of Public Health (also as assessor for the Dutch Medicine Board of Medicines), as Director Clinical Pharmacology of Pharma Bio-Research/PRA International, as Senior Medical advisor within Experimental Medicine of AstraZeneca Sweden; and as Vice-President Clinical Pharmacology with Applied Nanosystems in Groningen, the Netherlands. He founded and was owner of PharmaDesign, a drug development consultancy company which was integrated into QPS Netherlands B.V. (formerly Xendo Drug Development) at the end of 2003. Dr. Wemer is board-certified by the Dutch Society of Clinical Pharmacology. His education includes degrees in pharmaceutical sciences and medicine from the University of Amsterdam.
